Taiwanese actor Winston Chao plays main villain in Kabali

Taiwanese actor Winston Chao, best known for his roles in Life of Pi director Ang Lee’s The Wedding Banquet and Eat Drink Man Woman, has been roped in to play the main villain in Rajinikanth’s Kabali. Playing Winston’s henchman will be Malaysian actor Rosyam Nor, who considers working with Rajinikanth as a golden opportunity. Two more small-time Malaysian actors including Norman Hakim and Zack Taipan are also part of the film.

The team is currently shooting in East Coast Road and this schedule will last for two more weeks. Post completion, the makers are expected to head to Malaysia for another 20 days to wrap up the shooting. Directed by Pa Ranjith and produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, Kabali has music composed by young sensation Santhosh Narayanan.
