Minnal Minnalaai; Singers: Sriram Parthasarathy, Divya N. Menon
Yaaro Yaaro; Singer - Karthik
Alai Alai; Singer: Priya Himesh

A Decent Outing!

Bharani churns out a decent soundtrack with zappy numbers but Karthik's Yaaro Yaaro is the pick of the album.

Cast: Mithun, Richard, Sandra Amy, Prajin

Direction: Rajesh Alfred

Producer: Purple Visions

Music: Bharani

Lyrics: Annamalai, Snehan, Viveka

  • La La La La Sutrula; Singers: Aalaap Raju, Padmalatha – A zappy number shouldered by Aalaap Raju’s (Ennamo Edho – Ko fame) spirited vocals with right support from Padmalatha. The guitar interludes, especially before the first intermezzo, sync well with the tune. A passable track, at best!
  • Minnal Minnalaai; Singers: Sriram Parthasarathy, Divya N. Menon – A tepidly composed track with Divya Menon’s lovely vocals which evidently outperform Sriram Parthasarathy’s pleasing rendition
  • Yaaro Yaaro; Singer – Karthik – The silver-lining of the song is Karthik’s effortless, nonchalant rendition with a simplistic arrangement from Bharani. Our PICK!
  • Alai Alai; Singer: Priya Himesh – Priya Himesh’s versatile vocals bolster the song’s unexciting tune. The visuals of Rajesh should work in tandem for the song in the film!

Trailer Review

Directed by Rajesh Alfred and produced by V.Venkatraman and M Ravikumar, Sutrula is touted to be a romantic thriller shot in picturesque tourist locations. A doll is shown as the central character in the film’s trailer and it seems to be the cynosure of all eyes. From the outset, the film looks like a delightful cocktail of thriller and suspense elements with revenge theme as the backdrop. A couple wandering in the forest haunted by mysterious persons, tall trees, plush greenery landscapes and the elusive doll form the glimpses of the trailer. Is the doll a ghost? Why is Richard so furious with a gun in his hand? Why are the couple threatened to be killed? Who is taking the revenge? We hope Rajesh has an interesting set of answers for all these intriguing questions in the film.
