Suseenthiran’s next is NOT based on LTTE leader Kittu

As soon as Suseenthiran announced the title of his next project as Maveeran Kittu, there have been speculations that the film is based on the LTTE leader Kittu and revolves around Sri Lankan Tamils. However, Suseenthiran has cleared the air refuting all speculations.

“My film has nothing to do with Tamil Eelam or LTTE. It’s based on the revolutionary fighter Kittu from Tamil Nadu who relentlessly fought for people’s rights in the year 1985. The film is based on true events with a mix of fictionalized scenes conceived by me,” said Suseenthiran. Maveeran Kittu went on floors yesterday in Palani. Sources say Suseenthiran will also subtly depict the evil effects of caste system in the film, which stars Vishnu Vishal and Sri Divya in the lead roles. Parthiepan has been signed to play an important role in the project.
