Surya’s next film with Venkat Prabhu titled Poochandi

After much speculation over the past few days on the title of Venkat Prabhu’s next film with Surya, the grapevine in K’town is abuzz since morning  that the film is titled Poochandi. Though there is no official information from the team yet, a little birdie tells us that Poochandi has been finalized by Venkat Prabhu for the title. “Nayanthara and Amy Jackson are playing the female leads opposite Surya. You can expect the official word soon,” says a bankable source in the know.

“Going by the title, could it be a horror-comedy?” is the million dollar question everyone has in mind now. But, Venkat Prabhu in an interview said, “It’s a pucca Chennai film and Surya’s character will be one of its kind.” The project is already grabbing the attention of everyone since Venkat is putting together a new team for this flick. RD Rajasekhar and Rajeevan have been roped in as cinematographer and art director respectively. Yuvan, a Venkat Prabhu regular composes music for the film and dialogues are co-written by Madhan Karky.
