Suriya – Vikram Kumar’s action adventure gets ’24’ as the working title; ARR roped in!

The latest news about Suriya’s next film with director Vikram Kumar is it’s been tentatively titled as 24. We earlier reported here that Suriya – Vikram Kumar’s next will be an action adventure and will have a proper mix of action, humor, sentiments, romance and all the elements that will hold the attention of the target audience, aged between six and sixty. Vikram Kumar earlier confirmed in an interview that he has been working on this action adventure genre for the past five years and what was suggested to Chiyaan Vikram in 2009 was the first draft and added that he has retained the core theme of the film but the script has taken a completely different form.

The interesting aspect here is Vikram Kumar’s dropped film with Chiyaan Vikram was also titled 24 five years back where Ilena was reported to play the female lead. Produced by Suriya’s homebanner 2D Entertainment, now the team has roped in AR Rahman as the music composer. AR Rahman is composing for a Suriya film after Sillunu Oru Kaadhal, which was released in 2006. National award-winning cinematographer PS Vinod, who earlier worked in Vikram Kumar’s Manam and Suriya’s Rakta Charitra, will crank the camera. Other details about the cast and crew are awaited. Sources say Catherine Tresa was approached for the female lead. Suriya will begin this film after completing Venkat Prabhu’s Masss.
