Suriya spills the beans on his role in Kaappaan and release date

In a recent interaction to a Malayalam channel, Suriya has confirmed that he plays a Special Protection Group security officer to Mohanlal, who plays a Prime Minister, in Kaappaan. 

Suriya also said that the team is targeting the Independence Day weekend to release the film. Produced by Lyca, Kaappaan also features Boman Irani, Arya, and Sayyeshaa in important roles. The movie marks Suriya and director KV Anand’s third association after Ayan and Maattraan.
