Suriya nominates Aamir Khan, Mahesh Babu and Kicha Sudeep for My Tree Challenge

It all started when Fahadh Faasil’s kickstarted the My Tree Challenge by planting a sapling and nominated Mammootty. Later, Mammootty nominated Vijay, Suriya and Shah Rukh Khan to take up the challenge. Vijay accepted the noble initiative started by two enviroment enthusiasts Abdul Manaf, an entrepreneur, and Imthias Kadeer, a travel photographer and even decided to go the extra mile by deciding to plant around 25,000 saplings. Vijay, for a change, instead of nominating celebrities, invited school children to take up the challenge.

Now, Suriya has accepted Mammooty’s challenge and has nominated Aamir Khan, Mahesh Babu and Kicha Sudeep to take up the My Tree Challenge. “Suriya is always well known for his philanthropic activities and this one was not a challenge, but a responsibility to him. On his part of planting a tree, actor Suriya says that tree planting is close to his heart as afforestation is essential for a clean and green world,” says an official press release.
