Suriya lands in trouble after alleged complaint of ‘assault’

Prem Kumar, a 21-year-old football player based in Chennai, has filed a complaint against Suriya for allegedly assaulting him publicly. In a minor accident, Prem Kumar who was driving his bike was engaged in an altercation with a woman whose car was hit. Suriya, who was passing by the accident location, decided to intervene to bring truce among the two parties.

“She suddenly put the brakes and our bike hit the rear of her car. We asked her to compensate for our damage politely. But without inquiring anything, Suriya slapped me on my face and asked the woman to leave the spot,” says Prem Kumar.

However, Suriya’s spokesperson denies any physical assault being made. “The two boys were harassing the woman and Suriya intervened to rescue her. He lodged a complaint in the local police station and asked one of his assistants to stay back till the police arrives,” says Suriya’s spokesperson.
