Studio Green reportedly acquires remake rights for Premam
If reports are to be believed, Studio Green has acquired the Tamil remake rights for the Malayalam super hit film Premam directed by Alphonse Putharen. Gautham Menon was apparently approached to helm the remake but he turned down the offer saying the film could draw comparisons to Vaaranam Ayiram.
Studio Green is reportedly trying to rope either Dhanush or Suriya to reprise the role of Nivin Pauly. Premam is a coming-of-age love story that won both critical and commercial acclaim across the world.
