Studio 9 RK Suresh refutes Vijay Sethupathi’s allegations
After Vijay Sethupathi accused Studio 9 Managing Director RK Suresh of threatening him and using foul-language, the latter completey refutes the allegations and shares his part of the story. “Vijay Setupathi committted to do Vasantha Kumaran in December 2013 itself, but the project did not kick off since Vijay Sethupathi requested to complete few more other newly signed and Seenu Ramasamy’s Idam Porul Yeval. Since Vijay Sethupathi and I are good friends, I gave my consent. Now, when news came in that he has signed a project for Dhanush, I was stunned. Despite of it, I sent him an NOC (No Objection Certificate) to act in Wunderbar Films,” says RK Suresh.
However, he accepted to return the advance money and all the preproduction charges incurred. “He promised to either compensate me with Rs.2 crores or act in Vasantha Kumaran after two years. I never threatened him and I totally refute all his allegations,” adds Suresh. Suresh says Vijay Sethupathi is a well-mannered person and cites his acquaintances as the root cause for all the confusions. “I hope Vasantha Kumaran takes off soon and SIFAA (South Indian Film Artistes Association), Tamil Film Producers Council settle this issue amicably,” adds Suresh.
