SS Rajamouli to make a film on ‘Ravana’ next?
Speaking at the book launch of The Rise of Sivagami (First Book of Baahubali: Before the Beginning prequel trilogy) written by author Anand Neelakantan, SS Rajamouli revealed that he is planning to make a mini TV series based on the three books.
“We are planning to make a mini TV series based on the three books, but it will not be a daily soap that we usually watch on TV. It will be a mini-series with 13 episodes per season,” said Rajamouli.
Rajamouli also said he was impressed by Anand’s book Asura: Tale of the Vanquished and his portrayal of ‘Ravana.’
“I read Neelakantan’s ‘Asura’ and the way he has portrayed the character of Ravana is just fascinating. However, I am not sure yet if I will do something on that. He has also told me a story, which he hasn’t written anywhere yet. A very interesting and intriguing dark story. I was fascinated by it, I want to make it but cannot say anything about it yet,” Rajamouli added.
