“Spyder is not a stereotypical story,” says production designer
Production Designer Rupin Suchak says AR Murugadoss – Mahesh Babu’s action thriller Spyder does not have a stereotypical story.
“Spyder‘ is not a stereotypical story. And we wanted to ensure the production design is also not stereotypical. The treatment of the film is international, and so will be the production design,” says Rupin.
Asked about his collaboration with ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan, who cranks the camera for the project, Rupin says, “Santhosh Sivan has elevated the film to a different level. He has helped me give stylized aesthetics for the movie. He is quite updated with all the latest technologies, and that has helped the film.”
The team is currently working on the final leg of shooting which has started in Hyderabad. Jointly produced by NVR Cinemas and Tagore Madhu, Spyder is being made as a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. The makers are planning to release the film on June 23rd and launch the album composed by Harris Jayaraj towards the end of May or early June.
