SP Jananathan wishes to make a film on farmers

SP Jananathan is known as a politically and socially conscious filmmaker. Even as we are waiting for his Purampokku to hit screens in April, he has expressed his desire to direct a film based on the myriad number of issues faced by farmers in our country as his next flick.

“I have plans to make a village-based film that revolves around the problems of farmers. I wish it could be my next film,” says Jananathan. His upcoming film Purampokku is loosely based on the plight of prisoners and capital punishment.
