Sonakshi Sinha is upbeat about Lingaa

Sonakshi Sinha, who plays one of the female leads in Rajinikanth’s Lingaa along with Anushka Shetty, is quite upbeat and excited about the film’s release. Sonakshi Sinha is paired with Rajinikanth in the pre-independent portions of the story. “The film is a period drama and showcases two eras. I’m happy performing my character. Working with Rajini sir has been a great learning experience and an addition to my professional graph. It’s a great feeling to work wiht Rajini sir. I’m looking forward to Lingaa release,” she says.

The film is all set to release on December 12th, 2014 to coincide with Rajinikanth’s birthday. The Tamil Nadu theatrical rights except for Coimbatore area have been acquired by Vendhar Movies. Produced by Rockline Entertainment, the film has music by AR Rahman.
