“Some directors told me to shed weight,” says Manjima Mohan

Manjima Mohan has said that fans never pressurized her to shed weight. “Pressure from the industry? Yes, to an extent. Some directors told me to shed weight. Some told otherwise. So, I decided to lose weight to an extent so that I would be able to wear what I like to and look good on screen,” told Manjima.

“I play Niranjana in Sathriyan. She is bold, straightforward and fearless. It’s a strong role and very unlike Leela in AYM. There’s not even a single English line in my dialogues in Sathriyan,” added Manjima.

Sathriyan, where she co-stars with Vikram Prabhu, is set to hit screens tomorrow.
