This Friday, April 25th, four films will clash at the box-office heads on. Let’s have a sneak peek into the four films and see which one is riding with more expectations and why.
- Vaayai Moodi Pesavum – Directed by Balaji Mohan of ‘Kaadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi’ fame, the film has Dulquer Salmaan and Nazriya in the lead roles. First film for Nazriya after wedding announcement, Dulquer’s Tamil debut, Madhubala’s comeback film after more than a decade – All these make VMP the most awaited flick this Friday. The film is a social-political satire, a genre which has not been tapped in-depth yet by filmmakers in Tamil cinema.
- Yennamo Yedho – Remake of blockbuster Telugu hit film Ala Modalaindi, the film stars Gautham Karthik, Nikisha Patel and Rakul Preet Singh. Imman’s songs are already a hit and ‘Puthiya Ulagai’ sung by Vaikom Vijayalakshmi has been the talk of the town ever since the album got released. It’s a rom-com.
- Yennamo Nadakkuthu – Touted as the dark-horse of this week’s releases, Ennamo Nadakkuthu has Vijay Vasanth playing a crucial role. It has a stellar cast in Prabhu, Rahman, Saranya PonVannan and Thambi Ramaiah. The film’s posters look interesting and catchy. So, keep your fingers crossed.
- Pongadi Neengalum Unga Kaadhalum – This film marks the directorial debut of Ramakrishan of Kunguma Povum Konjum Puravum fame. It has Ramakrishan, Atmiya and Karunya play the lead roles. In what looks like an triangular love plot, PNUK is a satirical take on modern day love story and effect of proliferation of social networking.
