Sivakarthikeyan gets ready; joins Ajith and Dhanush

The makers of Sivakarthikeyan’s Kakki Sattai have thrown a surprise today by announcing the release as February with official paper advertisements in dailies. Already, the first half of February is crowded with two big films – Ajith – Gautham Menon’s Yennai Arindhaal and Dhanush – KV Anand’s Anegan, which are slated for release on February 5th and 13th respectively.

Trade sources reveal that Kakki Sattai is unlikely to confront the two big releases since theater bookings have already been done for both in some areas and are going on in full swing in other territories. AGS Entertainment is targeting around 400 screens to release Anegan and are looking to sign agreement with theaters for a two-week mandatory run, if sources are to be believed. So, Kakki Sattai is likely to see the light of day on February 27th if all goes well. The overseas distributors have also been informed about the same date.

Meanwhile, reliable trade sources suggest that Dream Factory offering, Siddharth’s Enakkul Oruvan is also vying for February 27th spot along with Kakki Sattai.
