Sila Samayangalil enters final round of Golden Globes selection

Veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan, who is on cloud nine following the commercial and critical acclaim of his recent outing Oppam, has more reasons to be happy. His upcoming flick Sila Samayangalil, which is a 92-minute feature about the awareness of AIDS, has entered the final round of selection for the prestigious Golden Globe Awards along with nine other films from across the world.

Sila Samayangalil is the only Indian film to have made it to the final round and is the first Tamil film to have its global premiere in Golden Globes. The HFPA (Hollywood Foreign Press Association) screening will happen on October 6th in Los Angeles, California. As per the votes of HFPA members, five movies will be nominated for the Golden Globes.

Produced by Prabhu Deva Studios, Sila Samayangalil features Ashok Selvan, Sriya Reddy and Prakash Raj in important roles. It has music scored by maestro Ilaiyaraja.
