Sila Samayangalil bags 3 awards in Jaipur International Film Festival
Winners of the 9th annual Jaipur International Film Festival were announced this weekend, and applauded Tamil film SILA SAMAYANGALIL took home 3 awards. The drama directed by Priyadarshan, which was also the Opening Night film of the festival, won the GREEN ROSE Award for Best Film with a Global Message, YELLOW ROSE award for Best Upcoming Release and the overall BEST FILM from the Asian Continent award. The movie had its first premiere in Tamil Nadu in the recently concluded Chennai International Film Festival.
Lead actor Ashok Selvan was in attendance at the Jaipur film festival to partake in a dialogue following the film’s screening, and an artist’s meet session the following day. The film, produced by Prabhu Deva Studios and Think Big Studios also stars Prakash Raj and Sriya Reddy and has traveled to festivals in Mumbai, St. Louis and Kolkata as well.
