Sigai and Sila Samayangalil get selected for Silk Screen Film Festival

The much anticipated Tamil dramas “Sigai” and “Sila Samayangalil” will be traveling to Pittsburgh next month to take part in the 12thannual Silk Screen Film Festival from September 15-24!

This is the 10th festival selection for veteran director Priyadarshan’s gripping story on a group of people nervously awaiting the results of their HIV/AIDS tests at a medical lab in urban Chennai. “Sila Samayangalil”, scored by Isaignani Illaiyaraaja and starring Prakash Raj, Ashok Selvan, and Sriya Reddy, has already traveled to many US and Indian festivals.

Sigai”, which is gearing up for its theatrical release soon, is returning to the US after playing at the New York Indian Film Festival in May. The taut thriller directed by debutant Jagadeesan Subu, a former assistant to director M. Manikandan, features Kathir in a bold makeover. The film also stars Raj Bharath, Riythvika and newcomer Meera Nair.
