Siddharth – Samantha to romance on screen?

The grapevine in Kollywood is abuzz that Siddharth and Samantha will romance on screen for Balaji Tharaneetharan’s next film. Siddharth and Samantha have acted together only once before, in ‘Jabardasth’, a Telugu film. Balaji Tharaneetharan made heads turn with his debut film ‘Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kanom’ starring Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathrie in the lead roles. The film was a runaway success and was declared a hit in the box-office. He wrote situational comedy with a renewed vigor and enthralled the audiences and critics.

Now, it is reported that Balaji’s next will be love story and he felt only true lovers could pull this story off. “The filmmaker has approached both Samantha and Siddharth already and waiting for their nod,” says a source. Samantha is busy working on Vijay’s Kaththi and she has also signed her next with Vikram for Vijay Milton while her Anjaan is under post-production. Siddharth is currently shooting for Lucia, Kaaviya Thalaivan and eagerly waiting for the release of Karthik Subburaj directorial Jigarthanda.
