Sibiraj confirms Naaigal Jaakirathai sequel

Sibiraj – Shakthi Rajan’s dog-centric film Naaigal Jaakirathai is one of the profitable flicks to have released this year. Made on a shoe-string budget, the film yielded good revenues for producer, distributors and theater owners. “Despite the Lingaa storm, Naaigal Jaakirathai is still running in nearly 50 screens. This is the kind of success I was yearning for,” says Sibiraj to a daily.

“I have been getting offers from big banners, directors etc. But, I’m looking for good and different content. We are planning to start Naaigal Jaakirathai sequel by the end of 2015. And, there is a huge demand for the remake rights of Naaigal Jaakirathai in other languages,” adds Sibiraj who produced the film under his homebanner.
