Shruti Haasan undergoes rigorous sword-fight training for Sangamithra

Shruti Haasan is currently undergoing rigorous sword-fight training for her historical epic Sangamithra, to be directed by Sundar C. According to a reliable source, she seems to leave no stone unturned to get every nuance of her character right. 

“Shruti’s totally gearing up she for the titular role, which is a complex yet fierce character that is believed to be an expert battle fighter. She has been training with a professional sword fighting expert and action choreographer in London. He started off training her with basic movements and maneuvers and then brought in the aspect of precision and physical agility. That was accompanied by some intense mind mapping techniques followed by true blue swordsmen to make sure she had every nuance she needed for a perfect on screen showcase,” the source adds. The project, which marks the 100th production of Sri Thenandal Films and will be directed by Sundar C, features Jayam Ravi and Arya as leads. AR Rahman will score the tunes for the film and Thiru will crank the camera.
