Shruti Haasan opens up about doing intimate scenes on screen

Shruti Haasan has always been candid in her interviews and given forthrights to tough questions without a frown. Even recently, she was misquoted by a section of the media that she would like to have kids without marriage. Later, the petite lass had to clarify things. “When I entered films, I was prepared for rumours and public scrutiny. I learnt to detach myself from gossip. As long as I’m sure about my equation with my co-stars, what’s written about doesn’t really matter,” says Shruti Haasan.

“I have no problem doing intimate scenes if the role demands them. It’s not offensive to be young and sexy. What’s important is that filmmakers should steer clear of vulgarity while projecting women onscreen. As an actor, I do have a responsibility and know where to draw the line,” says Shruti Haasan who is currently gearing up for her first schedule of Chimbudevan’s next yet-to-be-named film where she is paired with Vijay for the first time.
