Shreya is happy playing ‘wife’ roles

Shreya Saran’s last straight Tamil film is Rowthiram where she starred opposite Jiiva. It was released three years ago and she has not signed any Tamil film since. The petite lass who shared screen space with few of the top Kollywood stars like Rajinikanth, Vijay, Dhanush and Vikram could not find any takers for her talent in Tamil. She is currently acting in the Telugu remake of Hindi film Oh My God, where she plays Venky’s wife.

In the recently released film Manam and in Deepa Mehta’s Midnight Children which was relased two years back, Shreya essayed ‘wife’ roles. Quiz about her typecast roles, she says “It all boils down to the script, rather than the marital status of the character for me. I wouldn’t mind playing any role as far as the script impresses me.”
