‘Hero Talkies‘, a leading digital streaming platform serving Indians living abroad, has organized ‘Shoot The Pirates’, a 24-hour non-stop anti-piracy campaign starting from 11.00 AM today 15 September at Prasad Labs, Vadapalani. The event is a first of its kind initiative which will feature talks, presentations, interactions & panel discussions amongst the presence of members of the film fraternity. The event is also being recognized by Asia Book of Records and India Book of Records as the “Longest Anti-Piracy Campaign”.
This campaign will be graced by the presence of legends and other celebrities. This event will be hosted by RJ Vignesh Kanth of ‘Meesaya Murukku‘ fame. The campaign will be exploring several themes including, but not limited to, challenges of filmmaking, rampant piracy’s plaguing impact on Tamil cinema, market analysis from producer and consumer perspectives, control mechanisms for piracy, recent trends in Tamil cinema and the digital revolution of Tamil cinema industry.
This event will be open to a live audience from 12:00 noon, September 15th to 12 noon on September 16th. People can also watch the event streamed live on ‘HeroTalkies’ social media pages, i.e. on Facebook and YouTube, as well as on HeroTalkies’ website.
