Shankar wishes to do Endhiran 2 with Rajinikanth; Will the Superstar oblige?

While speculations on Endhiran 2 make news every now and then, director Shankar has confirmed in an interview that he is indeed willing to do the sequel with Rajinikanth. “Yes, I really want to make its sequel with Rajinikanth, but I don’t know if it will be next, or even if it will happen at all,” says the elusive director in a rare interview to a daily. Rajinikanth has currently finished KS Ravikumar’s Lingaa, which is slated for release on his birthday on December 12th, 2014. There are also unconfirmed reports that BJP leader Amit Shah has met Rajinikanth in Hyderabad during Lingaa shoot to formally invite the Superstar to join the party and suggestions have been collected from the fan clubs in the form of surveys. Will Rajinikanth oblige Shankar?

Shankar also says he is currently focussed on his forthcoming film I and waiting for Aascar Ravichandran to announce the release date of the film. I is likely to release by the end of November, says a trustable source in the industry.
