Shankar and SS Rajamouli share mutual admiration on stage
The two powerful, mighty showmen of Indian cinema shared the dias yesterday at the Telugu audio launch of magnum-opus Vikram, Amy Jackson-starrer I in Hyderabad and shared a mutual admiration for each other on stage. Shankar said, “Ever since I watched Magadheera, I’ve become a fan of Rajamouli. After watching Eega, I’ve become an ardent fan of him. Now, I’ve seen all the latest making videos of his Baahubali and I’m eagerly waiting to watch it.”
Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli revealed that he was a fan of Shankar since he was working as an assitant director in Chennai. “After watching the trailer and teaser of I, I dissected it frame by frame and tried to understand the story and how Shankar shot the film. He’s always ahead of times and I’m raring to watch the film. When I was working as AD in Chennai, Shankar’s Gentleman released. I, along with my fellow assistant directors, pondered our brains out on how Prabhu Deva’s various body parts went invisible in the song and we ended up discussing it for months,” told Rajamouli.
