Shamitabh inspired from Rajinikanth’s life?

Dhanush’s character arc in R. Balki’s Shamitabh is said to have been inspired from his father-in-law, Superstar Rajinikanth’s life if sources are to be believed. In the film, Dhanush starts working as a snacks seller at bus stops following his mother who did the same. Then he becomes a bus conductor who then transforms as a superstar in the cinema industry.

Shamitabh is all set for release on February 6th and the film is not being dubbed in Tamil unlike Dhanush’s debut Hindi film Raanjhanaa. Dhanush will have back-to-back with Anegan releasing on February 13th.
