Seeman thanks Lingusamy for the Inam retreat

At a time when the tinsel town is debating the disorderly retreat of Inam from theatres yesterday (March 31st), director Seeman has expressed his gratitude to Thirupathi Brothers and Lingusamy for acknowledging the sensibilities of Tamils all over the world. Inam, directed by ace cinematographer Santhosh Sivan opened to rave reviews from critics last week. And then, the film was accused for portraying the decades long civil war in a bad light and hurting the sentiments of Tamils.

Director Lingusamy, well-known for his forthright opinions on subjects close to his heart chose to respect the sentiments of Tamils and succumbed to the attack on artistic sensibilities eventually. Director Seeman in his press release has cited how freedom of expression is being grossly misused for publicity. Now, it is not certain if Inam will see the light of day again.
