Sathyaraj denies rumors on ‘Special 26’

Speculations are rife that Sathyaraj will reprise the role of ‘Special 26’ Tamil remake. But, the actor has denied it saying, “I’m shooting for Shakthi Chidambaram’s yet-to-be titled flick in Ooty right now. I will know the details only when I get back. So far, I have not been approached by anyone from Thirupathi Brothers to play Anupam Kher’s role in the Tamil remake.”

Special 26 is a Hindi heist thriller directed by ‘A Wednesday’ fame Neeraj Pandey. It was lauded by the critics for its realistic story-line and honest execution. Thirupathi Brothers now holds the remake rights for the film in Tamil. Sources say that Vikram is likely to play Akshay Kumar’s role in the film. But, the national award winning actor is currently busy on his majestic project ‘Ai’ and has reportedly signed his next with Goli Soda fame Vijay Milton.
