Sathyadev is a responsible police officer: Vivek
Vivek, who plays a significant role in Ajith’s Yennai Arindhaal as Revolver Richard, says Sathyadev (character played by Ajith) is a responsible police officer. When quizzed about Thala fans on social media, Vivek says, “They are very fond of him. From the day they got to know that I am acting in this film, they stalked me with questions like ‘How is our Thala?’ , ‘What is the story?’ etc.. They are tremendous.”
His role
I play someone who carries himself according to the situation. He will be serious at times; he will mischievous at times. The character will make the audience to laugh as well as think. Hope all the comedy scenes shot will tackle editor Antony’s cuts.
Working with Gautham Menon after 13 years:
Minnale – Gautham was 13 years younger. Debutant. He was so vibrant and tensed then. He used to come in a bike for the shooting spot. Yennai Arindhaal – Gautham is 13 years experienced. He handles things in a matured way. Same love and affection. Today he comes in Audi.
Vivek was supposed to play the role essayed by Ganesh as Simbu’s friend in Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya, but missed it. “Yes, I used to feel for missing that role. But VTV Ganesh made a tremendous mark with that role. Am happy for him. But I wonder if Gautham had really thought about me for the role,” adds Vivek.
When asked to describe Trisha and Anushka, Vivek says the former is sweet and feminine while the latter is clever and charming.
“I have played an important role. This will be one of the important films in my career. Thanks to Ajith for his love and affection,” he concludes.
