Sarkar’s Telugu dubbed version has provided a much-needed boost for Thalapathy Vijay at the Tollywood box-office, a market which he has been eyeing to score since a long time. The 6-day extended opening weekend share of the film is an excellent Rs 7.6 crores from AP/Nizam regions and the distributors have already recovered their investment in the region.
In fact, Telugu states are the first region in India for the film to touch the breakeven mark. While Kerala has registered underwhelming numbers for a Vijay starrer, the Rs 11 crore plus gross is still a huge figure for his contemporaries.
