Sarkar Kerala rights sold for a record price to Amour Films
The Kerala theatrical rights of Thalapathy Vijay’s Sarkar have been sold for a record price to Amour Films. The numbers are pegged at Rs 8.1 Cr for the film, which is directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sun Pictures.
Vijay enjoys an extensive fan base in Kerala and his market in the state has been on the rise over the past few years. Now, the price of Sarkar rights is a new record for any Tamil film in the state.
The film, which stars Keerthy Suresh as the lead heroine, is slated for release on November 6th for the Diwali festival. AR Rahman has composed the music for the film.
