Sarath Kumar is working on Subhash Chandra Bose biopic

Sarath Kumar, who is awaiting the release of Sanda Marutham which hits screens tomorrow, says he has been researching for last three years to work on the biopic of one of India’s most under-credited freeedom fighters Subhash Chandra Bose. “His story is one that I have wanted to tell for a while. It’s an ambitious project and will require a huge amount of work, but I hope to get down to it soon. I’ve felt that Subhash Chandra Bose has never been glorified the way Gandhi has. I met his daughter and we want to start off,” says Sarath.

Meanwhile, Sarath Kumar is planning to release the English dubbed version of Sanda Marutham abroad. “It’s basically an attempt that we’re making to see if there’s a revenue source that can be tapped. We just want to convince one distributor, possibly in an area where there are a lot of Indians living abroad, to release our film, and then see whether it makes financial sense,” he said.
