Sangamithra to start rolling from April or May

The historical magnum-opus Sangamithra starring Disha Patani in the lead role will start rolling from April or May. The movie directed by Sundar C will be produced by Mersal producer Thenandal Studios, who has lined up a bevy of projects this year.

Earlier, Shruti Haasan was signed to play the lead role. But she opted out of the project due to some differences with the team. “The pre-production work for Sangamithra is currently going on. It takes a lot of time to complete the graphics work on time. The project will go on floors from either April or May,” said Sundar C in a recent media interaction.
