Samuthirakani to direct biopic on U. Sagayam

IAS officer U. Sagayam is one of the popular anti-corruption crusaders in India and probably, the most radical and honest contemporary civil servant in Tamil Nadu. He has been transferred nearly 20 times in his two-decades long career for dealing corruption with an iron hand. Samuthirakani, known for his socially conscious personality, is planning to direct a biopic on Sagayam, if sources are to be believed.

Samuthirakani is said to have written the script based on Sagayam’s autobiography which he has been penning for a long time. Sources say Samuthirakani recently met Sagayam and got his consent for the film. More details are likely to emerge soon.
