Samuthirakani ropes in Jayaram and Asha Sharath for Appa remake
Samuthirakani’s Appa set the cash registers ringing at the box office despite lukewarm reviews from film critics. Now, the movie is set to be remade in Malayalam with Samuthirakani himself helming the remake.
Veteran Jayaram and Asha Sharath of Papanasam fame have been roped in to play the lead roles. Samuthirakani is currently finalizing the rest of the supporting cast. The shooting is expected to kickstart from December.
Kani’s recent appearance as a villain in Mohanlal-Priyadarshan’s Oppam has received good response among audiences.
