Rukmini’s guest role in Dhanush’s next

Actress Rukmini, who was last seen as Rajinikanth’s sister in Soundarya Ashwin directed Kochadaiiyaan, will play an interesting cameo in Dhanush’s Shamitabh directed by R Balki. Rukmini was suggested to Balki by one of his associates who had worked with her in the past. Her guest role is said to be a fun-filled one.

The title designs of the film unveiled by Amitabh Bachchan recently on the internet received good responses from netizens. Directed by Balki, Shamitabh marks the debut of Akshara Haasan and has Dhanush sharing screenspace with Big B for the first time. The film also features Abhinaya of Nadodigal fame in an important role. Balki’s regular collaborator Ilaiyaraja has composed music. Shamitabh will hit cinemas on February 6th, 2014.
