Rockline Venkatesh opens up about Lingaa controversy
Producer Rockline Venkatesh, who has remained tight-lipped about the alleged losses for Rajinikanth’s Lingaa by a section of distributors and theater owners, has opened up about the issue yesterday finally. “Singaravelan should stop seeking publicity and attention. We decided the film’s release date the moment we started the project. They remained mum then and crying foul now. Weren’t they aware of the release date then? And, they have told the opening day shows were not full house in most theaters. This is ridiculous. This campaign is solely intended to sabotage the image of Rajinikanth,” told Rockline Venkatesh.
Theater owners and distributors observed a day-long fast yesterday near Valluvar Kottam. They told media that if no one comes to our rescue, we’ll decide to go on fast until death with our entire families. Rajinikanth’s intervention is all they demand for, at the moment.
