RJ Balaji joins Mani Ratnam’s next
In a surprising casting coup, RJ Balaji has been signed by Mani Ratnam to play an important role in his next yet-untitled project starring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead roles. “And this did happen for real. Grew up watchin his films n now to be part of a Maniratnam Film. Feels like a dream,” posted an elated Balaji on his micro-blogging page.
With the pre-production work going round the clock, the project will start rolling soon in Ooty with a song sequence. AR Rahman and Vairamuthu have reportedly completed four songs for the film already.
Karthi who plays the role of a pilot has already shed few kilos to don a slim avatar for this romantic musical flick, whose Tamil and Telugu distribution rights have been already secured by Sri Thenandal Films and Parameswara Art Productions respectively.
