Release date of NOTA announced, crowds up the October 5th slot

Thanks to the superb success of his Geetha Govindam, Vijay Deverakonda’s Tamil debut in NOTA is much awaited by the Tamil audience. The film is likely to take a huge opening in Kollywood when it hits the screens on the 5^th of October. While the makers had initially contemplated some other dates for the release, they have stuck to the 5^th as they want to see a simultaneous release in Tamil and Telugu.

However, the particular weekend is very crowded in Kollywood with many interesting films lining up. For starters, there is Vijay Sethupathi’s 96, along with Vishnu Vishal’s Ratsasan which has gone up on the expectation meter after the recently released trailer. On top of this, two other films in Aan Devathai and Ezhumin are also targeting the same date. It is definitely going to be a tough weekend for exhibitors and distributors to handle the release tension and program theatre show timings.
