Real life Kabaddi players of Kennedy Club bag TN Chief Minister Trophy
Susienthiran’s Kennedy Club features real women Kabaddi players as a part of star-cast. They have now won the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Trophy by winning the tournament along with cash prize of 12Lac rupees.
Kennedy Club is based on the women Kabaddi Team that features Sasikumar and Bharathiraja in important roles. Having shot the film across prominent cities in India, the other schedules were filmed in Dindugal, Pazhani, and Ottanchaththiram.
In addition, some of the portions have been filmed in director Susienthiran’s native place Kannampatti near Pazhani. With the film’s shoot close on the heels of completion, the final schedule is being held in Vizhupuram. The film has 7 real-life women players from Tamil Nadu’s most celebrated and famous ‘Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu’, who always look high upon Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Trophy that is worth Rs. 12,00,000. The Tournament is held every year with matches happening between districts and the final winners are honored with this trophy and big money. It’s really a happy moment for the entire team of ‘Kennedy Club’ to see that their crew has won such a great honor.
Kennedy Club has musical score by D Imman and R.B. Gurudev is handling cinematography. The film is produced by Thai Saravanan for Nallusamy Pictures.
