Ranveer Singh reveals his favorite films of Kamal Haasan
Talking at the press meet of multi-lingual sports drama 83 in Chennai, Bollywood star Ranveer Singh said, “This is my first visit to Chennai.” Kamal Haasan is presenting the Tamil version of the film directed by Kabir Khan.
Ranveer Singh also revealed his two favorite films of Kamal Haasan saying, “Appu Raja and Nayagan.” Jiiva, who plays a pivotal role in the film, shook a leg alongside Ranveer Singh to some folk numbers from Tamil and tried to reprise Kamal Haasan’s landmark dance moves on stage in Sathyam Cinemas, where the team unveiled the first look poster of the film in the parking lot.
Kamal Haasan’s Raajkamal Films International, Reliance Entertainment and Y NOT Studios have joined hands to present the much-awaited film ‘83’s Tamil version.
Ranveer Singh will be seen stepping into the shoes of Kapil Dev in this biopic. Also starring are Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Addinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, R Badree, and Pankaj Tripathi. Deepika Padukone will be seen playing Romi, Kapil Dev’s wife.
