Rana Daggubati on board Vijay Sethupathi’s Muttiah Muralitharan biopic

Rana Daggubati will be co-producing the biopic of legendary Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan alongside DAR Motion Pictures.

Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, who is all set to play the role of legendary off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan in his biopic, earlier said it will be a challenging experience for him. In an official statement, Vijay Sethupathi said, “I am happy to be associated with the Muttiah Muralitharan biopic. He is an iconic sportsman of Tamil origin & someone who’s made his mark across the world. Portraying the role of Murali is going to be a challenge for me & I’m looking forward to it. I’m delighted that Murali himself will be closely involved with the project & guiding me on the cricketing aspects. I am thankful to both Murali & the producers for the faith bestowed on me.”

The film will be written & directed by M.S.Sripathy and will be made in Tamil and released in several languages across the world.
