Superstar Rajinikanth’s remarks about the anti-Sterlite protests in Tuticorin has sparked a controversy. His strong statement that fringe elements are the main reason for the protests ending up in a lethal way has been opposed vehemently by netizens on social media platforms.

Meanwhile, a video of a protester, who was subjected to police brutality, asking Rajinikanth who he is and why he hasn’t come to visit Tuticorin during the 100 days of protest, has been going insanely viral on Twitter, Facebook, and WhatsApp.
