Rajinikanth’s Lingaa gets rolling

The auspicious pooja for Lingaa happened today early morning in the Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysore. The pictures of the pooja were shared on the official Facebook page of director KS Ravikumar later. Rajinikanth was seen in white shirt and dhoti with a fiery moustache taking us back to the memories of pooja of the shelved film Rana.

The team will shoot in Mysore for the next 40 days and film some important scenes belonging to the pre-independent era, says a source in the know. After the first schedule, the team will head to Ramoji film city in Hyderabad for their next leg of shooting. It has music by AR Rahman. Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Shetty play the lead roles opposite Rajinikanth. Rathnavelu handles the cinematography. “Back in Boms, I miss new york, am properly jet lagged and tomorrow im off to Mysore for my first Tamil film… What a week its been :),” tweeted Sonakshi Sinha.
