Rajinikanth’s 2.0 pulls in Rs 17.7 crores in opening weekend in China
Superstar Rajinikanth’s 2.0, the first Tamil film to release in mainland China, has pulled in a disappointing opening weekend total of Rs 17.7 crores at the box office.
It’s one of the lowest opening weekend figures ever for an Indian film at the Middle Kingdom box-office. 2.0, according to industry sources from the PRC, is likely to incur losses for the distributor HY Media, who also released Akshay Kumar’s Pad Man , which also turned out to be a dud.
