Rajinikanth’s birthday was celebrated across the globe by his fans with unprecendented fanfare yesterday. Lingaa, which opened to mixed reviews, is expected to rake in massive opening day collections everywhere. Fans celebrated Thalaivar’s birthday in many theatres with cake cutting and band music at 12 AM sharply. Amidst many wishes which came Superstar’s way, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s was quite a surprise. Modi was gracious and posted the birthday wish in Tamil from PMO India’s official Twitter handle. Kamal Haasan was one of the firsts to wish his friend at 12 AM by through a video from Los Angeles.
