Rajinikanth, Soundarya and Aishwarya are like my extended family: Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone, who was recently in the city to promote her film Happy New Year, opened about her relationship with superstar Rajinikanth’s family. In fact, she made her debut in Tamil cinema opposite Rajinikanth in Kochadaiiyaan directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth. “For me, they are like family. Rajinikanth, his daughters, Soundarya and Aishwarya are like my extended family in Chennai. When they come to Mumbai, they call me up and whenever Iam here, I get in touch with them. They sent me mouth-watering food from home,” says Deepika Padukone to a daily.

Happy New Year is slated for release on Diwali day alongside Vijay’s Kaththi and Vishal’s Poojai. The film will be simultaneously released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu across the country. Directed by Farah Khan, the film has Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and Abishek Bachchan in lead roles.
